Dear weather,
Please turn into what I consider to be proper November weather, viz: crisp, cold, sparkly days with bright skies and lots of autumn leaves. This grey drizzling shite is NOT ACCEPTABLE.
love,
Lisa
My God, yesterday evening was horrible. I left work as usual at 5.30 to make sure I got to my yoga class, trudged up Pearse St. being precipitated on while attempting to dodge splashes from cars going through the GIANT LAKES OF WATER (because, you know, obviously we don't need proper street drainage because it never rains, or something), joined the giant mob being rained on at the bus stop, waited for aaaaaages for a bus, finally squashed onto a bus filled with wet miserable people, crawled on said bus up to Stonybatter through typical Dublin every-person-for-him-or-herself wet weather traffic ("I know! I'll get home quicker if I drive perpendicular to everyone else!"), got to the centre just in time for my class, only to discover that IT HAD BEEN CANCELLED because the teacher was stuck in traffic. ARGH. Made trudgy way home (weather: less rain, but made up for by advent of Giant Howling Icy Gale) to remove sodden trousers and assess damage to possessions. Discovered that some of the rain managed to sneak into my bag and waterlog attractive cover of new Kate Bush CD. Gnashed teeth. I managed to recover my equilibrium through the judicious use of a)a hot shower, b)snuggly pyjamas, c)homemade soup, d)knitting, e)crap telly - but only just about. If there's any more of that nonsense this evening THERE WILL BE TROUBLE.
