worrying new skills of the arlosaurus

  • Attempting to remove his own nappy.
  • Crawling. Backwards. Or at least, I left him on one bit of the kitchen floor and found him a few minutes later somewhere else entirely, looking both proud and slightly bemused. Either that or he's learned to teleport.

Hmm. That first one could have serious consequences. Can you get Arlo-proof nappies?

B is touchingly hopeful that it is the first step towards Arlo changing his own nappy. I am less sure...

"young man, you'd BETTER have learnt to teleport by now, or there'll be TROUBLE!"

My mother was reminding me just yesterday that from 8 months old I used to remove all my clothes except my vest, in the middle of winter. I couldn't get my vest off...

Go Arlo!

He does seem to have naturist tendencies, alright.

So now surely you have to experiment with a fresh nappy placed strategically behind him and see if he can remove his own and back into the new one.

Inquiring minds want to know.

Heh heh heh. The side-salad crawled backwards for a good month or two before he mastered crawling forwards. Interesting times ahead...

little escape artist. ...reminds me of a story I was once told by my friend. Her sister's little one learned to flip his wee self out of the cot at night. Eventually they had to make a lid for it and put a brick on top to prevent injury and escape! Looks like it is all ahead of us!
