OH I HAVE SO MUCH TO DO.

On the other hand, in a week's time, I will have two weeks off. I plan to spend most of this period eating and loafing.

Random question for Dublin people: I got a most excellent necklace when I was in San Francisco, featuring AN ACTUAL SEAHORSE CAST IN SILVER. However, the accompanying chain is extremely thin and perhaps not up to the brutal hustle and bustle of my everyday life: it broke last time I tried to put the necklace on. If I was still in SF I'd just bring it back to the shop, but I amn't, so does anyone know a good place for either a)jewellery repairs or b)to get a new very fine chain (all my existing silver chains are too thick and/or I'd need to remove the catches to get them through the hole in the seahorse)? The only places I can think of off the top of my head are Emma Stewart-Liberty in the Powerscourt centre (though I think they mostly do rings, and work mostly with gold) and Djinn on Wexford St. (but they mostly make quite chunky stuff and I don't know if they do repairs or anything other than sell their own designs).

Good idea, I'll see what they have. Though I'd almost certainly need to get them to take the clasps off to put the pendant on (the hole in the pendant is teeny, the only reason it's currently off the chain is because the chain broke), so it'd need to be right (as I won't be able to take it off again) and they'd need to have onsite jewellers that could muck with it for me.

Alternatively, if they do have onsite jewellers, I could see if they could mend what I have, as it's the perfect length/colour/thickness for the pendant, though I would be afeared that it might break again.

I was going to suggest Weirs as well, or if that failed, one of the little jewellers in that little laneway down the side of Bewleys (the one with the tiny church on it).

I go to Green's jeweller's on Aungier St. (nearish to the Black Swan pub) for all my jewellrey repair needs. But then, it's near to where I work.
