My mother's now ranting about the scepticism about his daughter buying land beside her parents so she could "look after him". "See? It's easy to point fingers, but the man was ill all along!" Of course, moving home to look after elderly parents is the proper Irish daughter's duty.
I hope my mother has her own private island stashed away somewhere.
