Hoorah, hoorah, my flights to Marrakesh have been booked. I'll have a week in Morocco at the end of March, then B. is going to stay on to stride purposefully up mountains for a bit with his sister and another friend, while I am flying back via Holland for a weekend. Depending on whether my friends who live in Amsterdam are around, I will either hang out with them, or stay in B's sister's apartment in The Hague and do the Grown-Up Modern Lady Having A City Break By Herself thang. I rather like exploring unfamiliar cities on my own (for instance, I can go round museums at my own pace), so either option will be fun. It's all very exciting.

In other happy fun news, I will hopefully be seeing biascut and glitzfrau this weekend, and possibly mylescorcoran and sammywol soon after (all the way from the distant realm of Cork). Unfortunately somewhere between now and then I have to rehearse for and perform in another choir concert, do HEAPS AND HEAPS of band rehearsal (eek, gig of new stuff next week, eek), and manage all that usual going to work/eating/sleeping thing, but hopefully I'll cope...

We're going to have to think about logistics here, though - there was a warning in my guidebook about buying souvenirs that are difficult to transport home or that might be broken in transit. Have you ever tried to bubble-wrap a camel?

We will be flying through Amsterdam airport with baba right at the end of March with a 3 hour layover there so any tips about how to kill time there and possible good shops and cafes for people with smnallies would be appreciated. Thanks!
