precipitation

Dear heavens, but the weather here is MANKY - I actually thought the alarm had gone off at the wrong time this morning because it was so dark. I wore a rain coat and rain trousers to walk to work this morning and still ended up arriving in work feeling soggy and sorry for myself (not least because I had forgotten to add "shoes that don't leak" to my ensemble). So I am currently wearing a colleague's flip-flops and waiting for my more sensibly-shod consort to fetch me a sandwich and dry socks. I'm sorry I complained about it being too hot! Bring back the sun!

In other news, I have suddenly realized that this free gig that we are doing on the fourth of August is NEXT THURSDAY, and I am now in a panic about my ability to a)remember the old stuff, b)remember the old new stuff, and c)finish the new new stuff. Eek. If you come along to the show and see a woman knocking back tumblers of Rescue Remedy with a vodka chaser, that will be me. Buy me another one, why don't you?

It was raining heavily when I woke up this morning, and it is STILL RAINING now that it is time to go home from work. Bucketing down, in fact. Perhaps it is a sign of the impending apocalypse, along with the 'RA declaring an end to the armed struggle?
