methinks it's time for...
Apr. 27th, 2005 02:16 pm...another post of Good Things:
1. The new Magnum Touch ice cream. Whatever about its ridiculous name (as Jacques Peretti said in the Guardian last week, "What next? Memory flavoured lasagne?"), it is TEH YUMMY. It's hazelnut ice cream with chocolate and hazelnuts on, like nice praline chocs in ice cream form. I bought one after lunch out of sheer curiosity/greed, and am now sitting at my desk in a state of confectionery-induced bliss. And I'm not even really a "dessert person". Highly recommended.
2. I had one of those annoying experiences last year in work where I came up with an idea for a project, had it approved, did lots of work on it, and then it got sort of ignored/shelved. This morning, one of the senior people in work asked me did I, by any chance, have any material on [the thing I was working on then], and I was able to cheerily produce tons of stuff (I'd actually forgotten how much I'd done on it) and look all clever. Go me.
3. I am going for dinner with B. and his Chinese teacher and class this evening, to one of the little Chinese restaurants that have sprung up in the north inner city since we acquired an actual Chinese community in Dublin. Yum.
4. The cover of this week's Radio Times (thanks to
nhw). Hee hee!
